About this Medicine

ALDACTIDE 25MG/25MG TABLET is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. It is advised to take ALDACTIDE 25MG/25MG TABLET with food at a fixed time each day to maintain consistent levels of medicine in the blood. In case you have missed any doses, take it as soon as you remember it. Never skip any doses and finish a full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.It may cause side effects like diarrhea, upset stomach, electrolyte imbalance, breast enlargement in males, and impotence as common side effects.  If these or other side effects do not go away or get worse, tell your doctor. You may be asked for regular monitoring of kidney function, blood pressure, and electrolytes level while taking this medicine.Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
