Atrocin Eye Ointment is a combination of medicines that is prescribed to treat uveitis (inflammation of the middle layer of the eye). It relieves pain, discomfort, and irritation caused due to infection. It also fights against the microorganisms to treat uveitis. Atrocin Eye Ointment is strictly advised to be used only in the eyes. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected eye. You must wash your hand before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. The course of the medication should be completed even if you feel better.The medicine is generally safe but sometimes it may cause irritation, stinging sensation, and discomfort in the eyes. If these side effects become severe or stay for a long duration, you should consult the doctor immediately. Your doctor may be able to tell you ways of reducing or preventing some side effects or suggest another treatment. If your vision is blurred or you have other changes in sight for a time, don’t drive until your vision is clear. This is usually a short-term side effect.Before using it, tell your doctor if you have an underlying disease or are taking medicines for any health conditions. Tetracycline is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
