Avistep 2mg/100mg Capsule is a combination medicine used in the treatment of infectious diarrhea. It manages the symptoms of diarrhea such as stomach pain, cramps, and loose stools. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganisms. Avistep 2mg/100mg Capsule is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. How it Works

Avistep 2mg/100mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Loperamide and Furazolidone which treat infectious diarrhoea. Loperamide is an opioid agonist which works by decreasing contraction of the intestines making the stools more solid and less frequent. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria and other diarrhoea-causing microorganisms by damaging their DNA.
