Capagyl F Syrup is a combination medicine used in the treatment of infectious diarrhea. It manages the symptoms of diarrhea such as stomach pain, cramps, and loose stools. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganisms and helps in releasing the excess gas from the stomach. Capagyl F Syrup is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. How it Works
Capagyl F Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Furazolidone, Metronidazole and Simethicone. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria that cause diarrhoea by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering. Metronidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
