Dexapin 1%/0.10% Eye Drop is a prescription medicine that is used for the treatment of inflammation in the eyes (uveitis). It helps in relieving from pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation which are caused due to inflammation. It also helps in relaxing the muscles and blood vessels of the eye. Dexapin 1%/0.10% Eye Drop is to be used only in the affected eye in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.Use of this medicine may cause application site reactions such as burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness in some people. These are usually temporary and resolve on their own. However, if they persist or get worse, let your doctor know. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, rinse it off with plenty of water.There is limited information about the safety of this medicine on pregnant or breastfeeding women. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using the eye drop as it may cause temporary blurring of vision.

How it Works

Dexapin 1%/0.10% Eye Drop is a combination of three medicines: Atropine and Dexamethasone. Atropine is an anticholinergic medicine which works by making the pupil of your eye larger and relaxing the muscles in your eye. Dexamethasone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
