Gaben Lotion is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. It decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Gaben Lotion is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. The most common side effects of this medicine include application site reactions (such as burning, irritation, itching, and redness), dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea, and vomiting. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Avoid direct contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Before using this medicine inform your doctor if you are pregnant.
Gaben Lotion is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
