Ketriplin Cream is a combination of two medicines used to treat neuropathic pain. It works by protecting the nerve fibres against damage, repairing the damaged nerves. This way it effectively relieves the pain sensation.Ketriplin Cream is for external use only. You should use this in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medicine to the skin. You should always wash your hands after applying it unless hands are the affected area.There are no major side effects associated with this medicine, but it can cause some application site burning or irritation. However, these side effects are temporary and usually resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not subside or bother you.

How it Works

Ketriplin Cream is a combination of two medicines: Amitriptyline and Ketamine. Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Ketamine is a general anesthetic which works by blocking certain receptors (NMDA) thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
