Ligocain-ADR Injection is a local anesthetic. It is used to numb tissues in a specific area. It decreases the pain sensation by blocking the pain signals from the nerves to the brain. Ligocain-ADR Injection is given by a doctor or a nurse and should not be self-administered. The dose and duration will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms.This medicine may cause few common side effects such as pale colored skin, burning sensation, stinging sensation, erythema, itching. If you experience any such side effects that does not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms.Before using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or disorders such as kidney or liver disease. It may also affect, or be affected by, some other medicines you are using so let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. Ligocain-ADR Injection is a combination of five medicines: Lidocaine, Adrenaline, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Metabisulphite and Methylparaben.\tLidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases the pain sensation. Adrenaline is a vasoconstrictor which narrows the blood vessels to prolong the action of Lidocaine. This also controls bleeding during the procedure and minimizes side effects of Lidocaine. Sodium Chloride is a purified salt solution which helps prevent edema (swelling) and discomfort on injection. Sodium Metabisulphite and Methylparaben are preservatives.
