Sandox CP 50mg Dry Syrup is an antibiotic that effectively treats a variety of bacterial infections of the eye, ear, nose, throat, tooth, lungs, brain, gastrointestinal tract, skin, and soft tissue in children. It may also be used to prevent malaria. Sandox CP 50mg Dry Syrup has also been found useful in aiding COVID-19 treatment. Give Sandox CP 50mg Dry Syrup to your child orally, either 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Avoid giving milk and other dairy products to your child within a few hours of giving Sandox CP 50mg Dry Syrup. Also, prevent your child from lying down for at least 1 hour after taking this medicine to prevent irritation in the throat. Prefer giving it at about the same time each day as that will help you remember. The dose will depend on the severity and type of infection, body weight, and age of your child. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose, but make sure to never double up the dose if it is time for the next dose.Some children may develop minor and temporary side effects after taking this medicine. These include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, tooth discoloration, and skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case they persist for long or start bothering your child, you must consult your child’s doctor without any delay.Your child’s doctor must be aware if your child has ever had any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This will guide the doctor in planning your child’s overall treatment.
