Sersam Plus 50mg/0.25mg Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of depression, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. It helps calms the brain and improves the mood and physical symptoms of the disease. Sersam Plus 50mg/0.25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as advised by your doctor. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. How it Works
Sersam Plus 50mg/0.25mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines : Sertraline and Clonazepam. Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms of depression and also relieves symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and anxiety. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
