Supraheal 1% Gel is a hemostatic agent which is used in the treatment of bleeding associated with burns and wounds. Supraheal 1% Gel is for external use only. It should be directly applied on the affected area. Before using this medicine, you should read the label. You should use it in a dose and duration as advised by your doctor.This medicine works by stopping oozing of blood. It activates thrombin which promotes clot formation. It also combines with blood proteins to form a gel like substance that covers and protects the wound surface which further helps in stoppage of bleeding.The common side effects include irritation at the application site.
