Twinrix Paediatric Injection is a prescription medicine. This combination of two vaccines is used to prevent Hepatitis A and B infections. It promotes the immune system to act against microorganisms to prevent such infections. Twinrix Paediatric Injection is to be administered by healthcare professionals. It may cause pain and irritation at the site of infusion. This usually goes away with time. It can be taken by patients irrespective of age.Twinrix Paediatric Injection is generally well tolerated by patients and is also safe in children and babies, however, it has a few side effects such as fever, weakness, headache, etc. It is important to inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver disease. Unusual crying can be observed in children or babies.
How it Works
Twinrix Paediatric Injection is a combination of two medicines: Freeze-dried Live Attenuated Hepatitis A Vaccine and Hepatitis B Vaccine (rDNA) which prevent Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B. They help develop immunity by initiating a mild infection. This type of infection does not cause illness but stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies (proteins) to protect against any future infections.
